This is probably the second most used link in the morning before we leave on a charter.  The lightning storms in Hatteras can be brutal in the summer and I always make it a point to check the radar before I leave the dock just to make sure there are no surprises offshore.  You can guage which way the flow of weather is moving for the day so when one forms out of no where offshore you can have some what of an idea as to which way it's going to move to try and dodge it.
