Whether you are looking for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, BigEye Tuna or Blackfin Tuna, The Outer Banks has it all when it comes to Tuna Fishing.  At some point during the year we have great fishing for each species and at times can catch all four Tuna species in the same trip.  The Giant Bluefin Tuna are some of the most amazing creatures on Earth.  One of the few fish species that can live in just about any water temperature the Ocean has to offer.  We have caught them in 48 degree water all the way up to 80 degree water and just about every temperature in between.  These monsters will test every bit of your angling skill and toughness and only after you have conquered one of the beasts can you truely understand just want a special creature they really are.  We here at Whatever Sportfishing spend a large portion of our winter(offseason) chasing the Bluefins during the commercial season.  We are more than happy to take charters as well.  The giants usually show up here in Hatters sometime between February and the end of March.  Charters are a little harder to run this time of year due to the weather but we are certainly happy to work with you to make it happen.  We reccommend being able to flexible with your dates in any winter time charter so we can work around the weather windows that allow us to get offshore.
