Hatteras Fishing Report 6/25/2015

Got lucky today and found a Hatian high flyer that was holding a few nice bailer dolphins. It was about as rough as it can get for not being a breath of wind which made it pretty tough bailing conditions. Hobbly gobbly it was. My group did a great job and we caught a good mess of them before a fierce thunderstorm with water spouts chased most of the fleet back to the dock not before lightning hit one of the boats.  Luckily no one was hurt and they were able to get back to shore under their own power.

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/23/2015

Half day this morning and the ocean was pretty choppy so we decide to look around in the sound for a cobia. We caught 2 keepers and one throw back for the morning. All that pretty weather in may and June is starting to catch up to us. Looks like a big time southwester is coming for the weekend. Hopefully these cobias stick around a little longer so we have something to catch when we can't get in the ocean.

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/18/2015

Spent the day in the deep marlin fishing. Hooked a BIG blue marlin first thing but after a series of impressive lunges she came unglued. She was too fat to get all the way out of the water so she lunged more than she jumped. We manged to catch whitey and missed the sail. Meat fishing was really slow around the fleet today we manged just one dolphin out of 3 or 4 bites. It didn't sound much better for those that spent the day looking for them. Anyway its always a good day on the water when you see a 500lb+ blue marlin.

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/16/2015

Couple 1/2 days today. No shortage of AJ'S on the inshore wrecks. Caught a nice trigger and a couple snake kings in the morning 1/2. Beautiful but extremely hot day on the water.

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/12/2015

Half day this morning with some great fishing. All the AJ's they wanted to pull on and a few nice sea bass and a lonely king mackeral. Offshore the dolphin and blackfin fishing was red hot with plenty of marlins seen down below. We have Sunday the 14th still available and the weather looks slick calm. Give us a call for some great fishing full or half day. 252-996-0549

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/8/2015

Another great day on the water today slick calm conditions and the fish were biting. We found a grass line that was holding some nice gaffers and bailers and caught all my group wanted so we went to the deep looking for a big bite and boy did we ever find it. I was cranking a bait away from some grass and a 500 lber came out of no where and greyhounded on it with her head shoulders and tail out of the water on the bite. One of the top 10 marlin bites I have ever had. She put on a show and we chased her all over the ocean finally getting her up and along side the boat for a picture. Fishing is great right now and we have some days open later in the week and next week. Give us a call and let's go fishing. 252-996-0549

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/7/2015

Been lagging on a few reports we have a had a few half days lately with the cobias starting to wind down we have been catching some Spanish and blues along with some Amberjacks on the inshore wrecks. We have still been seeing a few cobias around but they haven't been real hungry. The half day fishing is just going to get better all summer and is a great fishing trip for first timers or kids. Give us a call to book your trip. 252-996-0549

Hatteras Fishing Report 6/4/2015

We had a half day this morning. After letting some squalls go by first thing we were able to get out a catch a few spanish and blues til it was time to look for something bigger. Found a rather large class of AJ'S for inshore and let em crank til their arms were tired. We did see a couple small cobias on a turtle but couldn't get a bait to them before they went down. After great day on the water. Just had Saturday June 27th cancel so give us a call and let's go fishing. 252-996-0549
