Little scrappy today. Not many bites around the fleet. We were lucky enough to hang on to most of ours. We did miss a blue one but it wasn't much of a bite. Just kind of a lazy roll on a long rigger never really ate it. It was nice to see one though. We did have a crazy free jumping sail air it out 5 or 6 times right next to the boat. I would have sworn it was hooked but there wasn't another boat in sight. Pretty wild show anyway. Back at it tomorrow hopefully there's a few more bites to go around. Another great day on the water. We had some pretty steady wahoo action all day with a few dolphin mixed in. Plenty of bites all day. The wahoo have arrived and should be here the rest of the summer. Good dolphin fishing today. We found a decent place of dolphins early and caught what my group wanted and went looking for something bigger. We watched everyone else around us catch marlins but we never got a turn. Guess I gotta blame the guy behind the wheel. We did have a few wahoo bites but never held on to one. Half day this morning spanish mackerel fishing was a little slow so we went looking for something a little bigger. Caught a few throw back sea bass and small sharks until we found two nice cobia. Glad to see there's still a few around. Guess we start battening down the hatches for Arthur now. Sure would like to know who invited him to their 4th of July party I sure didn't. Great day on the water today. While the meat fishing was a little on the slow side we did manage to catch a few dolphins to go with our blue marlin. He wasn't the biggest but he sure was fun to see. There isn't many things that are better than backing down on a blue marlin. There was a decent showing of marlins around the fleet. Fishing should be good this weekend and we still have Saturday open weather looks beautiful too. Pretty good dolphin fishing today. We stopped short and caught a nice gaffer setting out. Had a couple more bites working out to the deep where we found a beautiful grass line that was holding some bailers. I went east cause everyone else went west on it. We didn't do quite as good as the boats that went to the west but we still picked along and wound up with a pretty good catch. There was a few marlins seen and caught to the west. Maybe next time I'll make the right turn. We had a group of first timers on board today. They did a great job in some pretty choppy conditions. We managed to hang on to a catch of nice size gaffers and one little blackfin tuna. There was a pretty decent marlin bite today but we never got our turn at bat. We still have Monday 6/2 open. Weather looks slick calm glassy and there's plenty of fish here. It just wasn't our turn today.  We had a group that really wanted to catch a blue marlin and thew conditions were perfect for one so we spent all day in the deep looking for one.  We saw a few around us jumping behind other boats but we never got our chance.  We did catch a few nice gaffers and made a deep drop and caught our grouper and wreckfish so they did have some nice bags of meat to take home as a consolation prize.  Maybe next time guys!
